Hi All

Had a problem with the ABS light staying on in the car after I had a 4 wheel alignment done this week. Took it back to the garage but the guy is struggling to locate the 2 pin plug (according to the book labelled K & L) ...to reset the indicator. I take it this is the device which when plugged into gives you all the error codes for car faults

I presumed it was underneath and to the left of the steering wheel....but cant find it...in the mass of other wires...any tips for where i can locate it

97 sti3 import............

however bonus....

did find a HKS Turbo Timer hidden up behind the dash (switched off) so I didnt even know it was there....yee haaaaaa

can anyone help with an instruction manual for this...please..

cheers Paul

You need to be out of the car and on your hands and knees face-icon-small-sad.gif Look up in behind the steering column. There are four plugs taped up onto the loom. 2 black and 2 green. Connect black to black and green to green.

Turn the ign on , press accelerator to the floor a coulpe of times. Start the car and let it tick over for 2 minutes then shut it off.

Unplug the connectors and now take the car out for a drive and make it work. make it pull from "off" boost and up to around 5500-6000rpm then change up and let the car slow down until off boost again. Do this from 2nd to 5th.

ECU is now reset.

Turn the ign on , press accelerator to the floor a coulpe of times. Start the car and let it tick over for 2 minutes then shut it off.........{I run the car for a mile keeping a gentle speed and the ECU will reset when it travels 1km at a greater speed than 7km/h. The Check Engine Light will flash on and off in even cycles to confirm a reset has occured}

Unplug the connectors and now take the car out for a drive and make it work. make it pull from "off" boost and up to around 5500-6000rpm then change up and let the car slow down until off boost again. Do this from 2nd to 5th.......{This helps the ECU learn its new perameters for it to read from and make your STI think it is the fastest STI in the world}

ECU is now reset. >>

Just added 1 or 2 more pointers

Thanks for the reply guys.......

So I take it I need the ECU reset to make the indicator go off. I was under the impression that the autospark guy was just going to correct the fault with the abs indicator not reset the entire ecu ??
