RB5 intercooler

can anyone tell me if the RB5 intercooler is the same one that is used on the STI version 5/6 ???

this is an intercooler for sale on e-bay........ I thought the STI ones in version5/6 were silver with the STI badge at the top ???

That is a WRX Intercooler. Not the same as the STI.

The IC in that eBay link is a bog standard MY99/00 Uk one. The STI5/6 IC is silver with an STI logo and is bigger than the Uk one.

The RB5 has the bog standard MY99/00 UK one.

the intercoolers are physically the same size but i think the sti version has a more efficient core, it bolted straight on mine anyway.

think it's a differnet one you've got mate ....... sure the 93 to 96 models are......... however if you're interested in buying one then here ..........sti version 3/4

so looks like a standard 99 model,however would the sti3-4 fit a my 95 wrx as mine has more bent fins than flipper the dolphin ?

Can't you take of the intercooler and take to the people who recore radiator and get them to straighten the fins.I had mine done when it was in a body shop after i slide on black ice.It was the body shop that damaged them i went mad with the owner who i know well and has done jobs for my family.It got sorted went in to serc intertruck in dundee it an my2000 the bodyshop said a new one would cost 400 pound from subaru this happened febuary last year .
