Puncture repair - Update - need a RE050 part worn!

Had it done on other cars/wheels, but never on a car that obviously enjoys a bit of spirited piloting. So are they reliable and do they stand up to a bit of welly?

My driver's side rear has lost 15 PSI in a month. When it was up on the lift at MSW getting the backbox put on I had a look at it because I thought it was maybe dodgy, and it appears it is.

UPDATE: The nail has went in right in the middle of the tyre, but at a completely stupid angle and as such Kwik Fit say it's not repairable.

The two front tyres on that set have seen better days, particularly the passenger side after KH in June. It was my intention to put the fronts on the rear and the rears on the front and then just destroy the entire set in September at KH. This plan has now been comprimised as I'm a good tyre short.

I have a complete spare set which I will be putting on tonight for road use. But don't fancy track daying them with only a thousand miles on them.

So I have some options - I need 1 part worn RE050 (drivers side) to match the current set and I can continue with my proposed plan. OR I keep the new set on and at KH I run with the passenger side rear (good) and the drivers side front (ok) from the current set on the front of the car as I don't think the rears will take a lot of punishment there.

GAHHHH. If it was one of the fronts that had been knackered I wouldn't have minded but I'm FUMING!

No worries - as long as it is done properly. Had it done on two of mine the past - when a tyre was new I had one and it lasted to it's full life, even with spirited driving!

quickfit have done a few for me with no probs ( as long as its not on the edge) but expect the usual ......can we do a break check for you, looks like your alignment needs checked etc, etc, etc but other than that they are fine for it.

Read the update on the first post and help an upset ginger fellow who's team lost last night and who needs to spend good mod money on new rubber.

I'm out here in sunny Bothwell.

I've got the tyre off now, and the other three!, so I'll take the busted one to a few different places and see what they can do.
