gordon_kerr Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 I'm disappointed to note that Dumfries & Galloway has no regional forum, i know we are a small region in terms of population but in area we are one of the largest, perhaps even the largest, we also have more scoobies per head versus population than any other region in scotland, come on guys give us some recognition down here and get this sorted, after all we are scottish and proud of it. Thanks Gordon
imprezapete Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Scotland doesn't have enough members to justify regions of scotland forums. Englands far more packed with members. Thats why they have regional forums. Plus I think it would be a bad idea as it would split what limited activity we have on the Scotland forum.
dougster Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Do you mean a Regional Organiser? If the numbers are there, of course the club will look at having a local representative.
dave_morgan Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 << Do you mean a Regional Organiser? I take my hat of to them all, as I know how much time organising a simple karting event can take up, let alone some of the bigger stuff. (Hat off also to the guys organising the runs, as I know they sometimes get overlooked but also put a lot of time and effort in).
dave_morgan Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 The point I was trying to make there was that as well as identifying that there might be a requirement for an RO, there's also the job of finding a suitable volunteer who can donate the time to do the job.
