Ken 275 Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Who's is the blue Classic wagon with the reg plate imposed on the splitter / bonnet (cannae mind exactly) I saw twice last week in Dumbarton? Anyone on here? It looks lowered and has a nice growl. Whoever it is - nice motor! Good Luck! K.
dougster Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Does it have gold alloys? It may be Hec's and it's a SPORT!!! (He doesn't post on here)
Ken 275 Posted July 23, 2005 Author Posted July 23, 2005 Cannae mind Dougs, it was going the opposite way and I was driving a RWD Volvo 940 est. at the time (fecking tank, but not as slow as folk think!). And it corners like a sponge. The motor had a scoop and looked like a turbo, and a nice one at that. May have been P1 wheels, but don't quote me on that. Maybe one of our Southern Members up on hols? K.
clan2_uk Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I've not seen that one before in Dumbarton, just out of interest Ken are you a fellow Dumbarton scoob pilot ?
chesney Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Wasn't me - got a Legacy GT TT wagon dark blue with cross spokes! I am in Dumbarton a lot but live out near Aberfoyle. Just thought post up seeing as Dumbarton was mentioned
Ken 275 Posted July 23, 2005 Author Posted July 23, 2005 I stay in the shadows! Legacy 1.8 Impreza Sport 2.0 Impreza RB5 2.0 Impreza Terzo 2.0 K.
des_curran Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I was on the A82 a couple of times last monday m8, i dont know if it was me though
Ken 275 Posted July 23, 2005 Author Posted July 23, 2005 Och, welcome to the nadir of your universe : the A82. Tragick-a-Plenty. Stick to the Duke's Pass and there-on into Callandar or up the A85 towards Loch Earn. After that watch out for the the unmarked cops on motor-bikes and Revenue Generators. It's simple really, no-one's out to get you if you only drive at 60 mph. K.
drb5 Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Loads of Scoob's about here now....dunno if that's good or bad though.
dougster Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Clan do you drive an Sti lookalike? I know where you stay but don't know/ ever seen the car. Who's the lad with the EVO in your estate?
chesney Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 << Stick to the Duke's Pass and there-on into Callandar or up the A85 towards Loch Earn. K. >> The Duke's pass is my own private test track. Is ideal for setting up a good fast road car. Thrash my mum's Z4 up there and the twisties are great fun especially in the wet! Some real dodgy bits you don't want to lose it at though due to the drops! Keeps the adrenalin pumping. Went round it on a fast bike once and that was even scarier!
clan2_uk Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 << Clan do you drive an Sti lookalike? I know where you stay but don't know/ ever seen the car. Who's the lad with the EVO in your estate? >> Yes my car has STI wheels and a rallytech rear spoiler, I know the evo that you are talking about but he is in the next estate down the road from me. At the moment I cant remember his name.
drb5 Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Sorry, but i don't think i've seen you about bud! You seen me?
clan2_uk Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Not sure if I've seen you around, I remember seeing a white RA a while back is that you ?
clan2_uk Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 I seen you (I mean heard you) driving along Glasgow Road in Dumbarton East, it sounded real good ! I know the guy who has the blue X reg RA in the Vale and I had a run in it a while back, it went really well.
drb5 Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Lo, cheers man. Yeah, Graham is a good guy. He picked the right car from the outset, but he fit's things to it without know what they do. Not good IMHO. No remap and still UK fuel with no booster, all because of a certain tuner whom i will not disclose the name of. Pi55es me off!
clan2_uk Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 I think I know the tuner you are talking about but I always thought he had a good knowledge of these things. The last time I spoke to Graham he had just got a new exhaust fitted and he was well pleased. He was doing the quarter mile stuff at crail but I am not sure if he is still doing that.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 There's a couple of silver classics knocking around Helensburgh now also blue bugley run by the guy that is in charge of kwik fit and the guy that owns Need For Speed runs about in a Legacy saloon. But there is still only one dumb ass loud JDM STI!!
drb5 Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 He done the 1/4mile, but wasn't happy. Also has equal length headers fitted, but never knew the noise would change and no KL or ECU to make the fuelling adiquate(sp?).
craig_murray Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Hi there, how you all doing. My names Craig just recently joined the SIDC so first time on the forum.I believe it was me you saw on the A82 last week , my regy is on my Jun front splitter. Its a blue UK turbo wagon colour coded with STI moulds , a 22B vent & a mini scoop on the drivers side. All tuning work been carried out by AWD Motorsport in Perth. In fact its going back up sooner than i expected due to the VF 22 not liking the constant abuse of 1.5 bar.Blew a blade on thursday.Got a TDO5/20G on order from Andy Forrest through AWD & 550cc injectors.Next 2 weeks will be sore Pleased to meet yas. Craig ( new guy )
Ken 275 Posted July 24, 2005 Author Posted July 24, 2005 Howdy Craig. That'll be the one I saw. Nice motor. Which exhaust? Any pics of the car? K.
craig_murray Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Hi Ken how you mate. The exhaust was done couple weeks ago 3 inch system from Hayward & Scott the 2 5/8 system was restrictive & im trying out Magnex stainless headers from AWD.You still get the burble low down but the noise on full pelt is nuts , totally different. Craig.
Ken 275 Posted July 24, 2005 Author Posted July 24, 2005 Aye, just curious as I heard you approaching, away from the traffic lights. Sounds v. nice. It's funny how your ears become attuned to a boxer. Fit car. K.
