oobster Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 As above, looking to get someone to do an oil & filter change on my 03-plate WRX. Must be: In West Lothian area Able to provide a receipt Using decent oil, not Halfrauds own-brand crap Able to do the change "while-u-wait" Tried a Subaru dealer, and they are quoting £70 inc. VAT, also tried a place in Whitburn that's been mentioned a few times on the forum and they are too expensive. Thanks in advance
oobster Posted July 22, 2005 Author Posted July 22, 2005 Booked the car into Hypertech in Bonnybridge, Duncan gave me a good price for doing the oil change. Anyone used Duncan before? Good or bad experiences? Want to feel assured the car is in safe hands
jamie_wood Posted July 22, 2005 Posted July 22, 2005 Andy, Hypertech seems to be flavour of the month just now. Dont think there are any bad posts going round. You should be safe enough Its only an oil change anyway. Your getting too paranoid in your old age
oobster Posted July 23, 2005 Author Posted July 23, 2005 Aye but if he's good (price-wise too) i might get some more mods priced up.... like an eiback pro kit.
spooks Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I would have helped ya out but I couldnt have got you a receipt unfortunately. Glad you got sorted out though. Spooks
oobster Posted July 23, 2005 Author Posted July 23, 2005 Ah crap spooks, sorry bud, i didn't even think. Must be the hot weather. I shan't make the same mistake twice. A receipt wasn't absolutely essential, just preferrable as i like to keep things like that to pass onto any potential new owners (if i ever need to sell it).
wrxmania Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I use Swifts in Whitburn - Extreme Motorsport Subaru and Mitsubishi specilists by another name - they have done all my intermediate changes. Very good and Geordie is a superb mechanic. Brian
