sma01 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 can anyone give me +ves and -ves for the above and advise which 1 you would choose?? cheers Scott
wrxmania Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Defi BF's - NOTHING as cool, easy to read, look great, you'll be a hero for having them and easy resale. SECS - Easy install, looks good, less obvious to look at, at a glance, but better if you're into technology, want flexibility and want to know more. Brian
allan_thorne Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 i've got SECS looks really cool easy to use will post pics tomorrow if u want
sma01 Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 that would be great if you could post pice mats, only pics can see on net so far are on scoobyworld website....
WUZ Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 You'll need to buy sensor for Oil Pressure and Oil Temp if you get the SECS (make the whole thing expensive!) but it can tell you the IDC, Water temp, Knock Correction, but these kinds of info are overkill for most people unless you really need them! Russell
robinh20mrv Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 hi m8, i have just bought a pile of defi stuff, boost, egt and oil temp, with control unit and pod, if you want i will take some pics and send them to you, all going cheap!!! not needed in the stutgart taxi cheers robin.

ian_finlayson Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Carl, Did you drive down Coustonholm road from pollockshaws and turn left onto kilmarnock Road this morning/lunchtime. I heard a subaru outside and saw a white impreza which looked just like your pull out. If it was you where did you get the sti lights and how did you get round the fog light problem Thanks for the pics, I'll be looking into this more I think
Carl Davey Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Unless someone has nicked my car it wasn't me as i'm sat on an oil rig right now. I do have STi rears though and stuck a red bulb in one of the reverse lights (wired as a fog) to get around the MOT. It's pretty useless as a fog light but for all the driving my car does.... Lights came from Glenburgie Subaru but they're as rare as hens teeth. I got lucky when i asked.
