wrxmania Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 << p.s Which silver scooby ran over my hat, when if flew off while i was hanging out of the car taking some shots?? >> It was me - was gonna stop but then thought "Hey, one less baseball cap in the world is a good thing " Well done Grant and Imy - very good day and the weather held out. Will post up my pics when I get a chance. Brian
micra_wrc Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 thanks for all the positive comments about today. am glad everyone enjoyed themselves and got the 'scooby bug'. I must thank my wonderful scooby-mad boyfriend Grant for knowing the ace roads, taking the lead and helping me produce the maps. Am sure you would all agree that he did a superb job in planning the route, keeping to plan (esp picking up SCOOBAY and Jambo_Scooby en route) and got everyone on the road for equal stages of driving and blethering. moments for me today: - handing out the maps at the entrance to the car park at Coatbridge, shivering in the cold wind whilst Grant was away gabbing. Thought the red wagon was zipping in a wee bit too fast for me to run after to give him a map! - hearing how the policemen standing at the junction when half of the convoy went the wrong way were actually laughing and assisted the lost pack re-navigate onto the correct route, after they burlied around and drove past them.....again! Note to self, folk will not look at the map if they have developed tunnel vision when driving past the police and will automatically go straight on instead of turning right. - meeting and speaking to new folk and to see everyone mingling, chatting, examining cars. Good to see the number of Scooby Ladies is increasing. - deciphering Grant''s cryptic clue and realising it was all true, down to the Queen's goats. - hearing that the colourful pheasant that was standing at the side of the road when we went past is no longer 'standing' at the side of the road - seeing the lovely toddler decked out head to foot in subaru gear, romper suit and hat Glad everyone enjoyed the day, suggestions/comments welcome to make the next one better. Imy
