VAL113R Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 As subjet a possum link ecu for sale. Ecu was bought around Christmas time for my 93 wrx and worked away fine running a map set up for 16psi, full decat, induction kit and front mount. I later added an uprated fuel pump and regulator and couldnt get in touch with the guy to map it again. On the 28th of February, Andy.F removed the ECU and replaced with an Apexi, the following day someone drove into me writing off my car. The possum link should fit any WRX/Legacy/Liberty from 92-96. It is the 4 plug type. It is supplied with the tuning software which allows you to connect to your laptop. You will need to buy either a USB or Serial adapter to do this. You can also buy a handheld 'tuning module' I am open to serious offers for the ECU based on a quick search I did in google.... Thor Racing are stocking it for £840 and BRDevelopments for £695. Although this was set up for my Jap car to run well in the UK I would suggest you get the unit mapped to your specific modifications. There is a great number of people around the country who will do this for quite a reasonable price. Here are some pictures of the actual unit and below that is some info. Please PM or drop me an email at Mail Me Thanks Picture1 Picture2 Remove the factory computer and plug in the fully adjustable PossumLink in its place. The PossumLink is a PCB that replaces the factory ECU inside the factory enclosure. The PossumLink 44S Management System provides control over the engine's fuel, ignition and air tumblers with full boost control with mapping for up to two Bar (29 lbs) of boost using all factory sensors. Cold start, rpm limits, closed loop O2, voltage correction, ambient air, closed loop knock, idle rpm and aircon control are adjustable via the Link Tuning Module or PCLink laptop software. The Link Computer features: fuel and ignition control, closed loop, AutoTune fuel curve, cooling fan control, RPM switching, turbo or non-turbo engines, RPM and Boost limiting, multiple coil applications, voltage correction, MAP or MAP/TPS, cold start, road or race, adjustable boost mapping, etc... Since it is difficult to produce an ECU replacement which is suitable for all uses, fuel qualities and climates the system is fully adjustable by the user. There is no upper limit for the injector flows since the ECU can be re-programmed to suit any flow. Normally you would use an injector large enough to do the task with a 10-20% reserve. The only problem with using very high flows is that tuning at low power, idle, requires a bit more effort. You can program boost, timing, fuelling, lambda targets hot and cold idle, acceleration enrichment etc. There are 96 fuel zones, 96 ignition zones and 16 boost zones. Fuel and ignition zones interpolate together to give 32,000 points for each. So its no problem to decide on a boost level and change the settings. However I will say that there are over 10,000,000 possible combinations !!! For fuelling you can adjust the whole map, complete rows or individual zones. On earlier cars its only possible to adjust timing by zone.
teknopete Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Hi Nick, Phunny nuff i`ve got a brand new hand controller for a possun link that an old bud asked me to get for them, then they never collected it or even paid for it suppose it was pretty stupid of me to order something for some1 w/o even taking a deposit. Although you did say to me that you and Sam lock the ECU's so you can't change anything on them. Thus I felt the hand controller was of no use. Good job it wasnt me specifically you ordered it in for. Hopefully someone will take it off your hands. It's been sitting in that cupboard of yours for quite a while now. Cheers
IanJ Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 YHM. Pete can you PM me with a price for the tuning module? Thanks, Ian
