Nurburgring

One of my mates had a great idea about taking a few motors accross for a long weekend to the imfamous circuit. (Hes just bought GT4). Sounds like a great plan, hop on the ferry at rosyth, onto the autoban at the other end then were there.

The only problem we are having is insurance for going round the circuit. Driving abroad is no problem I'm covered at no extra cost because we are going to be there less than 3 days. The Nurburgring is still classed as a public road. If you have a crash on it the police are called as normal. But some insurance companies have a problem with it being classed as a "unrestrited toll road" and will not offer any cover.

I've not had the car round a track before so not had to deal with insurance for this sort of thing. If anyone has any ideas or has been to the ring before let me know how you got on.

If anybody is up for it we're going sometime in April.

Cheers Graham

Think I've got the insurance sorted. Phoned them up and they now dont seem to have any problems with going round the ring.

I'm with tesco And they were one of the companies that were included in a list on a nurbergring web-site.

Going over with a few mates and my mates dad. He has a very nice GT3. My mate has a very small... Lupo GTI.

Should be a good weekend. Hopefully its dry.

Just need to save up for the fuel bill now.
