oobster Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Bought a pair of silver side repeater bulbs for my 03-plate WRX from scoobyworld. Managed to get the indicator out the wing (easy enough) but i then discovered that the thing is sealed! Checked the drivers manual, it says i've got to take the car to a subaru dealer to get the thing changed - surely that can't be right? There must be a way of getting into the unit, surely? Any advice given would be grealty appreciated. Andy
SEEVERS Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Andy, are you sure it's sealed? You should be able to give it a 1/4 turn and pull out the bulb holder .
jamie_wood Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Yep, thats correct. Just twist and pull Turn the plug anti-clockwise a quarter turn then pull. Job done
oobster Posted March 6, 2005 Author Posted March 6, 2005 Absolutely positive - all that sticking out the plastic is two gold prongs - plastic looks totally sealed - i can see no joins, gaps etc. The cables are terminated into a connector, and it's this connector that slips into a groove on the lense assembly. if you got msn messenger - add me if you think you can of further assistance. andy_oob@hotmail.com cheers
