power fc mapping

Recommended Posts

Andy Forrest will travel but it costs £200 to get him to Aberdeenshire. Me and David Sim (simbo on here) split the travelling costs the last time and he did us both in a day. I'll be going down to Edinburgh the next time though as the changes are less subtle but will still be driving off-boost etc.

Sam is more adept at the GEMS system. Used to run a LINK ecu in his MY99 UK Turbo and I think he still maps them (I know I do!)

Personally I have encountered certain people (Jools will know who I mean ) who have had their car mapped "too far o the edge" by Sam and have blown turbos and clutches!

Good knowledge but doesn't know when to stop.

AndyF is your man for now (I've got some DATALOGIT SOFTWARE coming in Feb, hopefully!)

If 350 is including RR use then it is very cheap, if as I suspect (and how I read your post) the RR use is on top of this it could be as much again, which isn't quite so cheap. No idea how much Andy is, but it's not unusual to look at 100 an hour plus RR hire for mapping.

Russell, have fun face-icon-small-happy.gif many, many hours of tweaking are yours to enjoy with a datalogit face-icon-small-smile.gif

already have the power fc but not fitted yet ,that,s why i thought about the aberdeen area as i could(correct me if i,m wrong ) fit the power fc unit,  trundle upto wallace performance and let them remap it /or the maestro remaps it near home

beleive you me i coulnae find the forth road bridge if i tried i,d end up in wales so thought this the easier route

Yup, £180 for the Andy.F remap. I'd plug in the ECU, chuck in copious amounts of OB (Apexi ECU's are all designed for JDM STi's running 101RON fuel) and toddle down to Edinburger.

Easiest and cheapest way IMO. This suits Andy alot better and you'll find it alot easier to book a date with him if you do this. If you want to wait until the end of Feb/beginning March time i'll be able to show you the road down.

You big kid. (I've got mine face-icon-small-happy.gif Expect to pay import duty on it too face-icon-small-happy.gifisgustface-icon-small-wink.gif

BTW Neil, probably a safer bet to run to Edingburgh with your original ECU and swap it when you get there. It's only a 5 minute job. and It'll save you a good bit on fuel and OB costs.
