WRC No 1 Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 right people a lot was talked about on tuesday night. 1 thing was name badges i did offer to help when it was first spoke about. i was playing about with what i could put in the folders and i have many ideas and if necessary chnges will be made. this is the only way i could get a pic on here by taking a pic of it off the computer so here it is the 1 on the left will be the front the 1 on the right is the back and the car and name will be changed to the persons car and name/username.
fraser_drinkwater Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 i take it this could be able to be put onto a credit cards type thing as I have the holders and the lanyards were spoken about. All in all I think it looks cool mate.
derek_robertson Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Excellent Wullie I'm sure that's just what we're looking for. I have suggested this idea upstairs as mentioned at the Ayrshire meet. The idea was to use Subaru lanyard with credit card type holder to be used for ID at meets/trackdays. I have stated that we could use this in the short term & have asked for this type of ID system to be included along with your membership. It would have SIDC logo'd lanyard & card holder with your membership details etc. Currently awaiting feedback on this idea. Cheers, Del
dougster Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Lanyards would be OK, but I don't fancy walking into a pub with a big badge on!! WAR CRY!!!! Something like this?? I also know that Rosie ( ), Spooks' parter has some plastic name badge things that she was going to give me. The lanyards are about £5 each.
wrxmania Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 << Something like this?? I also know that Rosie ( ), Spooks' parter has some plastic name badge things that she was going to give me. The lanyards are about £5 each. >> Yeah - but they said "22B-Eater Fan Club" for West Lothian Scoob
dougster Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Keep en em happy!!! Bladerider's got the socks!!!
Bladerider Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Yep, three pairs from EBAY. ....and don't forget the SIDC team shirt !!
fraser_drinkwater Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Quality socks mate a good example of scooby madness.
WRC No 1 Posted January 15, 2005 Author Posted January 15, 2005 only thing i can say is at least i am trying to help sidc and other people when we meet up especially if there is a new member at a meet. nobody is asking to wear these badges it was made as a suggestion at a meet may be some people wont wear them but i would. and for somebody that can say a lot over a computer they dont say a lot at meets if he was ever to go to 1???????????? yes i am talking about a pm about the badges and yes i am not happy about it ????????? if people are gonnae criticise about what people are doing there is not point in trying to help sidc/scottishscoobies ????????? wullie
WRC No 1 Posted January 15, 2005 Author Posted January 15, 2005 swiggi if u get me the size in ( mm) of the card holders i will resize them to fit with no prob m8 wullie
dougster Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 It wasn't a critisism but merely stating MY opinion and that of others I have heard at plenty other meets that I have been to. And I'll go to meets as and when I choose. If I can't make it due to MY circumstances then tough. In ANOTHER PM I did explain my current situation but I don't have to explain it to you or anyone else again. Don't get yer lanyards in a twist Wullie!! PS you have another PM if you want to talk.
andrew_duff Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Firstly well done Willie if everyone else made more of an efort and spent less time moaning then the club would be a force to be recond with. I myself have been on the case of several issues discussed at the last meet and i will bring everyone up to speed as and when we meet. Too many of you out there are extremely quick to critisise others who are trying to improve the club for us all Where are all your great ideas ? P.s this is not a personal dig at the Glasgow RO but more to everyone who jumps on the bandwagon We all have the clubs best interests at heart so come on people attend the meets etc. and voice opinions in person after all we dont bite ANDY (THE OFFICAL 2004 AND STILL THE BEST SCOOBYSANTA)
ian_craig2 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Wullie ... like it mate Swiggi ... cheers mate why does it always turn bitchy???? thought the idea was to enjoy the forums and the meets? if i was looking in on some of the recent posts theres no way i would want to come along to the meets!
fraser_drinkwater Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 AT THE END OF THE DAY WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME TEAM (AND NO DONT SAY THERE IS NO I'S IN TEAM BUT A ME!!!) AS THIS IS B**L. I THINK PEOPLES EFFORT WAS GOOD IN AYR AND AS IT WAS MY FIRST MEET I WAS WELL IMPRESSED,BUT THIS SLAGING AT PEOPLES EFFORT IS SILLY AND NO DOUBT THERE WILL BE PEOPLE TELLING ME TO SHUT UP AS I'M NEW BUT SO WHAT. TREAT THEM. GO ON WILLIE
dougster Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 The Ayrshire huddle!!!! (greasy enough Del?) Chill out, have a laugh and we will all have a beer soon!!
the squiggle Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 I would wear a big badge to a meet but it would a bit strange as everyone knows who the idiot is with the stupid exhaust. Maybe that £20 STI Lanyard from Japan may just get used after all.............................. Grant
dougster Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Italian site had them for ?3 - Easy when you know how UK site they were £4.95. I'd rather have 2 bottles of OB as everyone knows me anyway!! BTW Grant, still hurting after the GT4 spanking???
the squiggle Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Some good close races mate. TVR against the Lotus around Lemans was a session to remember. Loverly Pasta nice Garlicy farts type farts all evening. Grant
