ozzy Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Finally found out the problem with my brakes - split hose O/S/F ne1 know where I can get a front pair of hoses from? suppliers want to sell me a whole kit for £55. Stefan
ozzy Posted December 29, 2004 Author Posted December 29, 2004 Will even take some OE rubber hoses 'til I can get mine fixed. Sold my originals for about £10 doh! Stefan
wilky Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Rally Design will sell you them or EARS in Macclesfield, mail order over the phone, they are both quick. IMHO if you are going to only be able to get a set of four, which I fear may be the case, then you may as well do them all, B*ll*cks! at least have peace of mind. Callum
ozzy Posted December 30, 2004 Author Posted December 30, 2004 Yeah, most suppliers have said they only get in kits of 4 from Goodridge. You can buy them in pairs, but it's an order-in job and could take a week or so. I'm loathed to buy a 2nd set, just for a single hose. I've checked all the other hoses and there's nothing wrong with them so I really don't need a full kit. if I have to buy a kit, Goodridge won't get my money - I'll spit my dummy big time

ozzy Posted December 31, 2004 Author Posted December 31, 2004 will give you a call tomorrow morning. I'm waiting on some hoses arriving in the post (fingers crossed) tomorrow. Haven't driven the car in over 3 weeks and it's killing me
ozzy Posted December 31, 2004 Author Posted December 31, 2004 A pic where the hose was rubbing the wheel arch. Not happy the Dealer didn't spot this. Only took 1 large'ish stop to shed all the brake fluid and I had to drive the last mile home using the handbrake. It's obviously been rubbing for a while as it's worn away the underseal and exposed the metal. Trust me to get my car serviced on a Friday Stefan
