Paul Caden Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I am wavering on turning in my P1 in favour of a WR1 (yes, I have found a new, unregistered one!) but I am having difficulty in putting a price on the car. The spec is: - Aug 2001 (Y) - 14 000 miles - FSH (every 6 months without fail!) - ScoobySport exhaust - Excellent condition Can anybody suggest a private retail price and a trade-in price?
DaveGTI Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Hi mate, Parkers price guide for 30k on the clock is around £14500-£15000 but considering yours has half the miles and a few xtras, it should be a bit more. I'm no expert though mate, i just filled in them boxes on parkers Click here
tony_cousins Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Hi mate , used to sell cars for a living , i would say you would get about 15k at a trader but a private sale you would look at getting between 17-19k depends on market at time of sale tony
Paul Caden Posted November 25, 2004 Author Posted November 25, 2004 Thanks for the info guys. An update: I have decided that I like the P1 so much (and the resale values are rubbish!) that I am going to keep it and buy it lots of presents inc. uprated brakes, droplinks, new exhaust system, bumpsteer and geometry checks. After all that I will be looking to optimise the performance side. Speaking of performance, is the next rolling road day being considered and are any dates in the pipeline yet? I would be keen to attend the next one...
2nd_In_Command Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 We do one every 6 months so around Apr/May 2005
