check engine warning light

[WRC No 1]

on way back from the bank pulled into my street the car gave a wee junt then the warning light came on

now i have 2 go out into the pi@@@ng rain 2 find what the problem is and fix it then reset the ecu

i hate this s@@ty weather

i have an ecu monitor if ya want to plug it in and find the fault

I have the codes.

MAF failure perhaps?

Know what ya mean, needed to get out to my car today and fit a CEL fix kit on mine but due to it being so cack sat in and played on the PC.............

BTW seeing as were on the subject of CEL etc , if I fit my CEL fix will this turn my CEL off or will I need to get a select mointor to remove the error first?

Spooks you will need to reset the ECU as it will still store it as a historical code#

Wullie, do you remember how to read the codes. 2 black plugs under the dash

just a hick up with the Mass air flow sensor.

Did you clean the MAF prior to the reset or is that a stupid question..........

K+N are notorious for being over oiled when new

yes grant did that be 4 i reset the ecu.

got some compressed air 4 cleaning inside computers and that has done the job
