Pele Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 The time has come where I need to start looking at KentScoobies as a proper club - it's costing a lot of money to run now and it's all coming out of our pocket. I'm not sure how much to charge etc, so I'm going to do a poll and of course your opinions are invited on this thread too...
graham_walters Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 i think £10 would be reasonable, but against that i dont know how many members there are and how much it all costs to run so its hard to say!!!
AllenJ Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Depends if you'll still be affiliated with SIDC. It might be difficult to justify paying two memberships. On the other hand £15/year is affordable depending on the perks of joining. Good luck.
Pele Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 Well I struck up some good deals & I don't want people who are only interested in what discounts they can get & not coming along to the meets to start benefitting....
mark_sheepwash Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I am happy to pay subs, I think you said at the last meet things like trophies/stickers etc you have to pay for and maybe any excess left over from subs could go towards a summer BBQ or Xmas bash?
quentin_moss Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Pay, I think you should pay me, for the pleasure of my company. No not really, I realise these things do cost money. I feel £15 would'nt kill people.
granby Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I have no problem paying £10 or £15 for membership if it helps to keep the club going why not
paul_haggerty Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 hi all £15 i can do looking at all the meets and track days and things there is a lot of time involved organising and ringing around paul
DaveGTI Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I also would have no problem paying towards the cause
sid Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Hi all, Pele and Lee do us all in Kentscoobies proud, and I certainly wouldn't begrudge £15 to keep the club running. Will be at more of the meets now as I have got all my troubles behind me, Simon.
riceboy Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I agree with most. £15 is not too high a price to pay for a great run club. I think we all appreciate the effort Pele and Lee put in to the club.
Brad 2 Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Hey all, Even though not been a member long, I think £15 a year is nothing compared to how many e-mails we receive regarding meets, special events, car cleaning days etc, that all takes time and I totally agree to pay the £15 a year!
j-k Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 £15.00 seems okay, but could i please pay in installments..direct debit if poss...lol Does this mean that the club could help out with some Rallying expenses/sponsorship...mmmm
Tiny Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 £15 Cannot Argue With That Does Take up alot Of Time & There is Plenty of Hassle to Go With It !! Starting to Notice that Things are Starting to Cost Me Money now as well .. Must say Tho, You Guy's Both do a Good Job , It is nice to read Your Members saying so as well , Just Makes it Worthwhile i feel Good Luck Getting The Subs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tiny...

tony_cousins Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I think it should be £20 a year, just think of the costs involved 1 printer cartridge =£20 Electricity =£40 Paper =£30 Peoples time = Priceless and so on Tony
Pele Posted November 4, 2004 Author Posted November 4, 2004 Thanks for the quick feed back people...Lee
sam7 Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 hi there i have only met pele and lee and the rest once and they have treated me like one of they own pele have rung me and text me many times i think even though im very unreliable when it comes to the meets i would be honoured to pay £15 per year(even though i have not got my stickers yet.....lol) good on you peeps and keep up the excellent work
numptyboy Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 << I think it should be £20 a year, just think of the costs involved 1 printer cartridge =£20 Electricity =£40 Paper =£30 Peoples time = Priceless and so on the list is endless just like having your own office it will also sort out the real members from the free loaders after discounts and stuff Tony >> Just curious Tony as to what you consider "the real members" ???
tony_cousins Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Joe i mean the ones who are regulars and turn up to meets ! not just the ones who say they are to get the benifit of discounts and freebies !! Not aimed at any body in any way Tony
