ANDYJDMSTI Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 .........am toying with the idea of getting a carbon fibre front splitter. i think it may finish off the front end nicely but still slightly unsure or should i just go for normal plastic one colour coded????? splitters can be viewed at www.scottsautomotive.co.uk
Boyakasha Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Andy, I wouldn't bother with the CF, I got a plain black one and it looks the dogs. The black paint is that hard stuff that doesn't chip, un like getting it colour coded where it will end up getting chipped to hell. Marc
ormiboy Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 colour coded mate, skunks got one and its sweet
Boyakasha Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Tart Phil did you get your white flaps from Scott? My other half's brother has just ordered a new Spec C RA in white so might come in handy.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted November 2, 2004 Author Posted November 2, 2004 Think i am gonna be a tart and go for the carbon if you are gonna do something then you should do it in style p.s nice looking motor phil!!!! where u get the headlights???????? ME WANTS!!!!!!
Boyakasha Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Only thing that put me off the CB one is that I had heard some of them had started to flake. Phil you had any problems?
phil Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Headlights are Subaru Dealer Fit No problems with flaking at all, indeed the quality is excellent
ANDYJDMSTI Posted November 2, 2004 Author Posted November 2, 2004 The deed has been done!!!!!! A nice piece of CF is heading my way how easy are they to fit????
Boyakasha Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Piece of p1ss, if you can get the car on a ramp that is the easiest way. 20-30 mins. You'll need a drill and some spanners and thats about it. Have fun
ANDYJDMSTI Posted November 2, 2004 Author Posted November 2, 2004 am sure i shall have some fun when i get back and have to do it in the pi$$in rain at the beginning of December Like the Prodrive wheels. very nice indeed
Boyakasha Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Don't you just love the weather up here Prodrive wheels are the dogz, mine are in the garage for the winter so the standard ones are back on. Also got myself a set of the 17" WR1 wheels with the RE070s for track action
drb5 Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Andy Give me a shout when it's fitted! I wanna see it before anyone else does! And i was thinkin......seen as you must be feelin flush! You might want to go get somethin else carbon fibre, rather than just one wee piece under the bumper. Dunno what tho.....maybe a bonnet!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

May get some under bonnet carbon tarting done, have been looking at the WRC bonnets too
the squiggle Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 << Think i am gonna be a tart >> Nowt changed there then ya big tart As for the CF bonnet leave that madness to DRB5 and his micro-light As for fitting the splitter in the cold harsh December weather, i can send your car through DHL for you to fit it in sunny Iraq. Might cost a few grand and you will have to collect it from Baggydaddy but it will save having to deal with our god awful miserable weather. Better still i can drive it all the way over to the hell hole and walk back Take it easy big chap Grant
