I had an origional steel Xpack bodied mark2 that was used by Ford as a German Touring car racer. It ran a 2.2 Ford Cosworth with twin 48 webbers 5 speed quick shift and rear LSD. Top adjustable Bilstins and was painted in Rothmans Racing Team Colours. Dont paint it in rally colours as the X pack body kit was never used on rally cars, only track cars. They used Forrest arches on rallies. It needs to look like a 70s touring car!!! Link to comment

kevo Posted October 28, 2004 Share Posted October 28, 2004 Will look nice with a decent paint job.....I did very similar years ago,With a Vauxhall chavette....I put a 2.3 slant four in with a meaty cam (Cannot remember which in numericals)a stage 3 head,Twin 48 dcoe sidedraught dellorto`s,Gatrag gearbox with dogleg first..(BMW)...a opel Manta "A" rear axle..(Can take 400 bhp),And HSR bodykit..I sprayed it Porsche red(Guards red)..And My nephew used to race all sorts with it....V8`s, Porsches...All the modern gear at that time,And nothing could come anywhere near the thing.....I did it for my nephew..And only last week talking...He mentioned he wish he still had it to this day....It was an animal..The torque was just amazing..It would spin the wheels in top gear if pravoked...Many memories.........Kev.
