zeolite Posted October 19, 2004 Author Posted October 19, 2004 Won't be helping out on the 31st because I am track daying at Knockhill. However contact bill@gmsc.org.uk for details.
zeolite Posted October 27, 2004 Author Posted October 27, 2004 Update Marshals have to be at Crail for 07:00. I know this is very early but thanks to the end of BST it has to start early to get the light. There is a free lunch and a marshals draw with some very interesting prizes. Do you fancy a run in a top rally car? So my plan is to meet in the car park at the Windygates Bowling Club. This is beside the roundabout where A915 from Glenrothes and the A911 from Kirkcaldy meet. map ref 350005. We will be leaving there 06:30 sharp so anyone who is late should just keep going. This will be for those from the South and West. For those from the North just get to Crail for 07:00 and ask for Bill Creevy. pm me for any other info and my mobile number Please note that the rally starts at 08:30 and spectating will be £5 a head. You will need lots of warm clothes, food and flask although there will be a burger van. having a pen and something to write on could also be useful. Text
dougster Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Crail for 7!!!!!!!!!!! Now THAT adds a slightly different slant on the attendance of The Dougster!!!!
jamie_wood Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 Ian Cant be arsed looking for a calendar or working it out, but if its a sunday, then I can give you a dig out I think. Jamie
dougster Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Ian, you still have room to spare as we could do a 'Kelso' the night before!!!???!!! Devlin might want to come as I have no transport and Barry was gonna pick me up. Any frequencies would be cool if I can make it.
corsa Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 We will be travelling up from Glasgow and i have a spare seat in the car if anybody fancies a lift? It does mean you help out with servicing
CAZ1562 Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Would I be able to bring my 5 yr old daughter along ???
corsa Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 No probs with the young uns spectating, very safe but it does get a bit chilly up there , but we will be running the bbq to heat up the service crew and my 8yr old daughter is coming.
dougster Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Servicing v Marshalling!! I have seen the service crews lying sleeping at their 'garages' on wet tarpaulin in between stages!! I have seen marshalls bored out their nuts waiting to close/open a road hours before/after a stage!! Choices choices, the joys of rallying!! It would be nice to be part of a winning team but all I can do is valet the corsa with swissol!!!!!!
