zeolite Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Crail is a great spectator event but can be very cold. Always looking for marshals as well. Anybody interested?
p3dro Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Yep I'm sure I could convince Skunk as well for a bit of Marshalling. Never done it before but would give it a shot if given instructions.
zeolite Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Well basically you watch all the cars go past apart from yelowygreen corsas, which you flag down and shout abuse at the co-driver. If you are serious about marshalling I am sure I can organise something. pm me and i will get details sorted with Bill Creevy whose is the chief marshal. This for the Crail Stages in November
ANDYJDMSTI Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Mull sound like an option bit of camping in Craignure at the campsite
Chick Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Tour of Mull is one of the best rallies in the world! The Island is just completely taken over by the whole event, I have never been but know folk that have competed and spectated, I think that the biggest problem is trying to get accomodation. The reserve list for entries to the event is bigger than the entry list to some single venues! A mate of mine that i usually co drive for is competing in his nova for the first time this year, so am planning going over to watch. Should be good! There is usually a single venue event held in the Dumfries area around December time, can't remember the name of the event at the moment but it is a good one! Planning on getting a seat for that one, after I remember the name of it!
derek_robertson Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 End of season CRACKER!!!! This is an excellent event, normally over 100 crews with plenty of action.Wintry weather catches out quite a few, even the experienced ones A good contingent of Irish crews tend to be spectacular Hope this helps, cheers Del
