Jiggerypokery Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Hi folks, Can anyone recommend a good garage in the south east to check geometry and alignment, or should I plan a day trip to powerstation? Anywhere within 150 miles of kentish land is ok. I have a WRX03, which apparently doesn't need the bump-steer mod (with shims etc), just a geometry setup. Thank you.
Pele Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Try Elite in Rainham - they did mine and it was like driving a different car on the way back Costs about £50 to check and if anything needs adjusting it's 9.95 per corner - ask for the Prodrive settings
j-k Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 That will be ELITE in Rainham Essex not kent...just off the old A13, ask for keef..he is familiar with the prodrive set up etc
Jiggerypokery Posted August 25, 2004 Author Posted August 25, 2004 Thanks again! I'm getting tired of this understeer
numptyboy Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Barretts Motorsport in Canterbury do a good job as well on : 01227 864537 and ask for PHIL Joe.....

AllenJ Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Elite did mine as well, but a slight warning, your rear tyres will wear out quicker with the prodrive settings but the cornering will be a lot better. It's the price you have to pay for good handling.
riceboy Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Like numpty said, Barrets Motorsport in canterbury. They use their own settings and as they used to rally a winning scooby, it sure enough does for me>
Cheshire Cat Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 I had mine done locally cost was £25 to check then a hell of a lot more for each corner but depends what you have done. I think it was £40 for tracking (single axel) and £15 ish for camber etc per corner. I was advised against the Prodrive settings for daily road use as tyres would suffer due to the camber settings being quite radical! Edited: You will need the Bumpsteer mod to totally eradicate the understeer, or buy an RA!
