wrxmania Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 How many do we have now?!?! Let's tidy up with a date, time and a list so far. Brian
wrxmania Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 P.S. Meant to say (as above page 1 or whatever) I CAN'T GO SO DON'T ADD MY NAME TO THE LIST. Cheers
Bladerider Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 I'd like to bring my 13 year old nephew along. So my preference would be for the Monkton lodge because I know it's Child friendly. We've had a few successful meets there in the past. Jason O'neil has also mentioned about Monkton on the other place, he could bring a few Skylines along.

malky Posted September 1, 2004 Author Posted September 1, 2004 I am trying to organise a monthly meet for the Ayrshire region of the SIDC, so I thought the first meeting could be in Ayr.We could then discuss where the members would like to hold the meetings, same place every month or perhaps a different town each month, Ayr,Kilmarnock, Irvine etc. My first post asked for suggestions and numbers to try and work out a location, as someone pointed out the carpark is not that big at the monkton lodge which is why I suggested the carpark at the Horizon. I know this might not suit everyone but please come along and suggest where you would like the next meet as well as any other suggestions for the region.

dougster Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Malky, I organised two at the Monkton before and it brought in good numbers and the car-park is adequate. You will soon find out you can't please everyone but hopefullly you'll get a good turn-out. Also just because it's in Ayrshire, don't just expect Ayrshire based cars. Monkton was chosen for this reason as people from West Lothian and Glasgow attended. Good luck (I don't think I'll make it )
wrxmania Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 How is the Dougster these days. Been a bit quiet of late (not in here though) Brian
malky Posted September 2, 2004 Author Posted September 2, 2004 Perhaps next months meeting could be at Monkton, as there is already people listed that they are coming, I think its a bit late to change venue, but if everyone agrees then I don't mind. Cant see what the fuss is as it only takes 10mins from Monkton, there is no speed bumps at the Horizon & the cruisers don't usually go as far along the shore as the hotel.
malky Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 Any advance on Five ? I thought we would get a better turnout than that, maybe a few more cars will turn up on the night.
wrxmania Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Don't forget all the chav's who'll turn up in Corsas and Saxos to "smoke you off"??? Brian
