mctwistuk
I seem to have a leak in my boot and looking for some ideas on what's causing it and how to fix it. I have heard that rear lights are common cause but how do I figure out what's causing it and if it is the lights what do I need to do to fix? Cheers Chris Link to comment
ccrien
Also lift the spare wheel cover and have a look at the 2 nuts ( think they were 14mm) inside, towards the tp on the rear panel when the boot is opened, just above the wheel well, from the bolts that come through for the back bumper, mine we're just a tad loose and letting water into the wheel well. Can send a photo tomoro. The lights unbolt easily if it's them and a bit silicon on the gasket should fix it. Edited June 8, 2014 by ccrien Link to comment
davey l wrx
I've had it before and it was caused by the boot spolier. Water was leaking in through the bolt holes. If it's that you can remove the spoiler and add some rubber seals in or do what i did and seal every bolt and grommet hole up with bathroom sealant. The main cluprits for a boot full of water seem to be either the spoiler or the rear lights Link to comment
