mctwistuk
Is it just me or when you go to replace a part you end up discovering that something else needs replaced that you didn't know about? What should have been a simple job of installing the samco intercooler kit has identified that I now need a new turbo inlet induction hose. Some nice mechanic that must have worked on the car before I got it had made a nice hole in the plastic oem one. Now I need to source a new one and boy they don't come cheap. Looking at a couple of silicon options just now as the oem one seems to be very expensive. options i have found so far are http://japspeed.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza-GDAGDB/Subaru-Impreza-GDAGDB/Subaru-Impreza-New-Age-Silicone-Turbo-Inlet-Induction-Hose/p-24-1-430/ http://www.scoobyworx.com/swrd-turbo-intake-hose-2002-2004-6551-p.asp http://www.scoobyworx.com/samco-turbo-intake-hose-wrxsti-2001-2005-1759-p.asp http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-GDA-NEW-AGE-WRX-STI-SILICONE-TURBO-INTAKE-INDUCTION-PIPE-HOSE-/350874370961?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AImpreza&hash=item51b1be0391#ht_928wt_1170 all varied in price and looks and i know the samco one will be the rolls royce but is a bit too procey to be honest. Mr credit card wont like that. Does anyone have any experience of any of the above? thanks Chris Edited September 19, 2013 by mctwistuk Link to comment
lewisscoob
No experience of any as mine came with a samco inlet hose already. Have you tried breakers for another standard one? Matty Baker is bound to have one and i'd guess that it'd be a heap cheaper than any of the above. Fitting an inlet hose is a real PITA! Link to comment
