Do you mean that you are unable to type quick enough and by the ten minutes it takes to type out your reply the younger more nimble guys have posted up responses to 10 threads?

Pm naw, its getting posted here.

Ive been on these forums for years and i have never seen so much crap posted in such a short time, i have no doubt you love the scene and the cars but FFS cool it.

As playsatan said maybe pop back over to Mumsnet and give us a wee break here.

Why not let us know what all your plans are and if anybody can assist you to help the future of the area/meets/runs/nights/BBQs/events/scottish shows ?

I.... Disagree Corsa. Most of the funny/interesting/general stuff I've seen on here have been from those two. Thats not to say they're necessarily posting too much (in spite of Mctwists 2 posts in a minute further up the thread ;))

If you don't want to see so much of 'em, why don't you start posting interesting topics up? I've tried my share, but I don't have a busting lot to talk about round here, that and I'm relatively new to the site anyway.

No need to hate, just because you can't think of something to say, doesn't mean the rest of us shouldn't be allowed to ;)

OJ, its not hate its fact.

Whats a fact? That in your opinion the things Chris (I think...) has been posting is crap?

In my opinion, they're funny, and I've tried to comment on them to, as was posted in a thread a while ago, get some banter going.

Present your opinions as such, and you'll get a nicer response from me.

Davie,

Requests have already been sent out asking for run ideas and as yet I have had no responses. I have tried to cobble together a true grip article about the new lowland regional meet and as yet no one has made any useful comments apart from phil posting the photos from the day. Gordon has posted up asking about interest for rally day next week and again has had little response. The mood on here has been pretty tense lately and it needed lightened. We have only just had the Glasgow meet and the next meet isn't for a few more weeks and in between times there is the lowland meet. I have organised a rolling road day for Yorkhill off my own back and am trying to get interest for that. Most of which done before agreeing to be ro I might add.

If you look at where posts are made now if it is non Subaru related I post in the off topic section. If it is Scottish section related I post in there. If it is a bit risky it goes in the adult section. I personally am posting threads in the appropriate section.

There is no time limit set for replying to a thread so if I am on and I see a post I want to reply to I do.

You have referred to my post about me not posting any more and if you read it you will see the majority of folk wanted the jokes and stuff to be posted. This forum is more social based as opposed to strictly technical. If posts are put in the correct place then everyone should be happy.

If you want me or us to only post ro related things then fine. We do what is for the good of the club so if that is what is asked for then so be it.

I am sorry if I have offended you or annoyed you and hopefully we can put this behind us and move on?

Chris

Just for the record the string of my initial responses was to lighten things up as I typed them as quick as I could so no one could post lol.

Na, I thought it funny that in a reply to what I thought was another jokey thread you double-posted within a minute. Kind of an irony type humour.... Perhaps only I got it though :P

I'm going to go back to my South East section now....

Not really Paul I'm all for moving forward with the club but posting for postings sake is a waste of time and IN MY OPINION drives people away when they see post after post of nothingness !!!!!!!!

Davie

Are you referring to posts that are in reply to questions, general banter or welcomes etc

or

New topics with videos, pictures and general off topic content

Cheers

Gordon

I think what Davie's saying is he wants more scoob related helpful technical posts - like what to do if you have a 2.5 engine hats blows its head gasket....... :smiley-taunt014:

Good lord. If it's come to this we might as well fold up the tents right now.

I know exactly where Davie is coming from and I'm sure despite your posts you do too. Nobody is arguing with your right to post whatever takes your fancy or bang in as many replies as your young fingers can manage but do you honestly think it's the right direction to take the board / club? The board exists because of the members, not the other way around. Having pages and pages of random threads are not going to create an active scene but may have the opposite effect IMHO.

This isn't a pop at you Chris, or anyone else for that matter, it's merely me speaking my mind. You can call me a luker if you wish and put Davie and myself in the grumpy old bastid section but I'd rather be part of quality club of like minded individuals than participate in it's steady decline into banality.

Could a compromise be that a thread is created in the off topic section specifically for YouTube funnies, one for funny Subaru related photos and one for funny off topic photos? That way when you click on new content you won't get a load of non technical questions etc you will only get these three threads if any that have spam in them. This leaves the rest of the new content tab for the stuff Davie and yourself mention. That way all members are happy. I don't class you and Davie as grumpy old bastids. Looking back at the time when some of us started getting more active in posting it was because the forum was dead and that got a bit of activity going and ok some of it started a couple of arguments and some got the slagging off of each other(friendly way of course) but it did get the place more active. There must be a way we can keep everyone happy. At the end of the day we all use this as a platform for different reasons.

What do you think?
