mctwistuk Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Ok so I have opted to get a resonator box fitted to the exhaust system which just now is a bit of a mish mash of bits 3" centre section and backbox standard oem downpipe and 2.5" other pipe and backbox is drawer style. There are a few reasons for getting this fitted one being lol. Getting it fabricated by willie at meercat who will fit as big a box as he can but my question is has anyone done similar and if so was there much difference? Many thanks for taking the time to read my post. Chris
lewisscoob Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 (edited) Me personally, I bought and fitted the straightest exhaust I could find from downpipe to tailpipe. Mix matching parts isn't the best for performance. Though if you're not fussed about performance, If you like the sound and look, knock yourself out! Edited April 16, 2013 by lewisscoob
mctwistuk Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 Will eventually be 3" inch all the way just doing it piece by piece just now.
g1983 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Japspeed were doing good deals on downpipes in the group buy

lewisscoob Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Handling and braking for me all the way. That's what the hatch was missing. That and a proper boot!

johnmacdonald Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I replaced the WRX resonator with a Scoobyworld Afterburner straight through section incorporating an integrated performane silencer. Very pleased.
