Tearz Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Uh oh managed to take a stone chip to the windscreen and the bugger left a lil mark!! It's nowhere near where i look when driving / manouevering etc, but in the not so distant future i gotta get this baby manx tested so it'll have to get fixed Does anyone know if anybody can repair this kinda crack on the island? I think theres chaps on the mainland that can repair small chips / cracks.. would save me the hassle of either sorting a new screen myself, or claiming on the old insurance for it! any help mucho appreciated!
CustomScoobyIOM Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Any of the windscreen chappys can sort that for you mate as long as it isnt bigger than a 1p coin I think. Look in the Manx Telecom Directory
Tearz Posted May 6, 2004 Author Posted May 6, 2004 wooyay! looks to be a few guys there, will have to call around at the weekend.. then again i think it may only be £100 excess on my insurance - will be interesting to see how the repair price comapres.
Tearz Posted May 6, 2004 Author Posted May 6, 2004 baa u know what i mean I do have windscreen cover for sure - buti swear its £100?? *confused*
CustomScoobyIOM Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Yeah you have excess on your policy if you bump it. But windscreen cover they pay in full. Otherwise pointless as windscreen is £100 anyway. Ring them mate to check

Kristan Posted May 7, 2004 Posted May 7, 2004 You shouldn't have any problem passing the test, my scoob went through first time, even with turbo timer etc!
aircrest Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 If it helps I have always found Andrew at Laxey to be the best on the screens in the Island, Manx Autoglazing 862464 or 490774 always helpfull and has all the clips etc on board for impreza's, First class job ..........
