  1. On the subject of 911's, many moons ago I was the proud owner of a one year old 20v quattro turbo (nov 89 mdl), which even now given the obvious new found Japanise influence, I remember comparatively ......... I was going along the M25 from South Mimms and came across one said Porker 911 carrera4 (or however you speeeeeeeeeel that) well all was well and we overtook each other several times at approx 90 - 100 just glided by each other untill it was my turn and as i got along side he floored it...........well not to be outdone and obviously expecting the inevitable .........so did I ....... Well door handle to door handle all the way up to 135 - 145 and, you guessed it, the porker left me for dead, it was as if I had selected reverse !!!! But I gotta say as for grunt and torque I had him done, but sheer speed not a hope !!! my only retribution was that if that was down the lanes he would have bin Kippered !! Never did care much for the bloody porkers before and since plus there uncomfy and yer sit at a funny angle to the wheel and the pedals...........need I go On !!!
  2. Thats not even a year ago ...........the lads involved then were from KWC ........black MX5
  3. Hi ya ........."My bit"........The "Men" involved were Boys as we now know, they were also in a "curtousy Car" that was collected that day.........need we go any further ......I would also say that they were travelling at an extreme speed and not just an "excessive" one........ Enough on that one as its a very sad thing whatever the whys and wherefores etc !! I think whoever it was earlier has hit the nail on the head it is standards that are adrift here ...........not speed ! There should be Driving standards observers out and about educating these idiots that have no respect for anybody else but thereselves and even that is sometimes debatable....... Eg ..........A well known late Ferarri from the south ...........came up behind me on the TT course approaching Kirk Michael I had caught up with 3 cars in front of me way before he appeared from behind, I had already deemed the possible manhover "risky" and was trailing the cars. The "red idiot" proceeded to overtake me and the one in front of me and then "Push" his way in between 2 cars, and all this was without being able to see around the corner........ These are the sort of people that are creating these issues and spoiling it all for the majority of us that do respect others and their rights to use the roads as they wish to......IMHO of course Get some video unmarked plain ordinary cars out there and start educating these people not nicking them. nick em and cause resentment, warn them and get them to respect us others once again IMHO (for what thats worth) Obviously The Red devil (above) was and example and I could mention others a lot closer to home (as it were) as I'm sure we all could, but I believe the fact of the matter is simple, respect the roads and the other roadusers and these issues probably wouldn't be being disscussed now....... Respect is the issue not speed ............ Cheers all

  18. Don't wanna be a killjoy here but I would check that by creating a "ram air effect" by adding a sealed scoop you don't inadvertantly weaken down an already potentialy lean mixture Re the after market induction kits........I'am sure some IT SA will put in a link to a "concerned thread" on this issue ?? Don't want any more members of the DIEC do we !!

  23. "One further step is to get an XDA2 so that navigation, cameras, traffic and phoning is done all though one box - more importantly only one set of wires rather than the tangled pasta I have at moment. Nick " I have done this but have not had a chance to evalueate as the darn thing dont work in IOM........ I suppose I'll have to wait even longer to go to Ramsey And on the other issue Jon "Mine I have hardwired, but mine was cheaper and I got it first " You have an awful long way to catch up with our beloved Inspector Gadget he had his over a year ago !!
