If you believe other people's figures then I'd say you'd be looking at anywhere between 330-350bhp, depending on how aggressive the map is. Who's doing the remap for you?

cheers phil just looking for a rough figure incase other have had the same spec before on one of there cars

and going to see andy forrost about the remap

do a google search for "vf28 turbo max power" and trawl through the info & feedback folk have posted on tinterweb for various combinations using that turbo.

Google is your friend :smiley-violent003: .

One thing's for sure, you'll not go far wrong with Andy  .

Hopefully you are not running around with that spec without having had it remapped already? If you are then get it done asap so you do not damage your engine.

On a vf28 with the above mods?

On a td05 20g, before i started i got it dyno'd as a standard 218 bhp classic and it had 254.3 at the wheels, a full decat, walbro and re map later it was flying

Says it all really.

The turbo in question is a vf28 whereas you have quoted 347 with a 20g.

Just misleading the op with a sense of false hope with his vf28

I agree with FAI17. Quoting 347 on std heads was misleading after playsatan was offering figure estimates for a VF28 on std heads.

To the OP, my RA engine which came from a P1 running a VF28, std 440 injectors and sti 6 TMIC and exhaust was running 312hp. As playsatan was eluding to, the non-sti heads could be the limiting factor on achieving more than 320ish on your setup.

Is there a specific reason you are going FMIC? If I were you, I would be looking for a more efficient TMIC than the std one. The STI 6 or later will not hinder your figures running a VF28 but will give much better turbo response. I ran a FMIC and 18G for a while and found the lag too much, to the point where I ditched both infavour of a VF35 and STI 8 TMIC, its like night and day.

Just sharing my findings and opinions.

Dont think it was misleading at all. if i was being misleading i would say i have 500 bhp on standard heads with a td04 and standard exhaust and filter. all i stated was what i had acheived, no turbo mentioned!!

My TD04 peaked at 280bhp, had to go to a T36 to get 358 with supporting mods from the TD04 days. Standard injectors and heads.
