Alanna
Hey guys think im going to sell my black scooby and could be getting a GB270 its at a garage but not sure if its over priced. Don't know what i should do???????? Link to comment
davey l wrx
Any links to the car...... the GB270 that is and what age is yours and what do you expect for it... it's bound to be alot more than what the garage would offer for it. When i got my first scooby the garage offered £3000 for a 4 year old 3 series that had 6k worth of extras on it and full BMW service history. £22000 brand new and they offered 3k.... Sometimes i think they use rune stones not Glass's guide to pluck their numbers from. Link to comment
Alanna
Im trying to get a link so u can have a look. I bought mine from the same garage in August last year its a 2006 wrx 50,000miles a know how much i would like to clear my finance but as you say garages just pluck random figures. The GB 270 is £11,995 at the garage and has 35,000mile on the clock. Gonna get someone to have a proper look at it with me. x Link to comment
davey l wrx
The GB looks ok if slightly over priced...... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201212458281690/sort/priceasc/usedcars/price-to/15000/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/price-from/8000/model/impreza/make/subaru/page/1/keywords/gb270/postcode/ab326ys/radius/1501?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201213459588540/sort/priceasc/usedcars/price-to/15000/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/price-from/8000/model/impreza/make/subaru/page/1/keywords/gb270/postcode/ab326ys/radius/1501?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201208451723129/sort/priceasc/usedcars/price-to/15000/engine-size-cars/2l_to_2-5l/price-from/8000/model/impreza/make/subaru/page/1/keywords/gb270/postcode/ab326ys/radius/1501?logcode=p The last one is nice, under 12k and 22,000 miles. Got to be some negotiation in the price of the one you're looking at. You'll always get more selling the WRX private, weather it's enough to clear any finance is another matter..... Link to comment
spenno
I'd agree with Davey, I think it is overpriced Link to comment
Alanna
What would you sell mine for privately? x Link to comment
davey l wrx
The price of your's depend on the usual. Condition, service history oh and the good old engine size.... if it's a 2L i'd say it's more sellable than the 2.5L thanks to the lovely road tax we have now. With the 2.5L being double the tax of a 2L. Rough guess i'd say somewhere around £5500-£6250 (depending on condition, etc) seems normal for that year and mileage though. Alanna
Mine is the 2.5L an yes i was gutted when i taxed it for 6 months!! I do like the last scooby in the list you gave me. Looks good. I dont know if a should just look for a newer one though. but the new shape to me dont sound like a typical rumbling scooby and thats what i like. Link to comment
marko72
Why are you thinking of selling your hawk? Link to comment
davey l wrx
you could look about for a 2L hawk... there was a few of them about. Or a JDM import would fit the bill 2L engine and twinscroll turbo Link to comment
ANDYJDMSTI
STI all the way. Plenty around, have a look on Pistonheads. Link to comment
Gee Wr1
12k for a GB270 which is more or less a wrx with ppp is WAY over priced imo. A absolutely mint Wr1 with 21k miles just went for 11k on the owners club, it was priced for quick sale but shows what you can get for that kinda money just now and you get the lovely 2.0l engine in a wr1. scooby222
Think it depends on why your changing, if you really want a gb270 then its worth chatting to the garage, though they're car seems a bit steep if they give you a really good trade in it evens out. If your wanting something bigger better faster more then its got to be an sti of some flavour! Link to comment
bobbyc
The GB is overpriced & remember road tax will be increasing by around £25 every year, loads of nice 2.0l STi's out there if you can get rid of your own privately Link to comment
