spenno Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Very nice looking Hawk there mate. Good power figures to
badbaz Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Very nice - love the wheels - looking like a very good ET to get them sitting like that - do you know what the ET is at all? Are Rotas any good, durability wise?
14N-FR Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 Thanks guys. The gravels are ET44 and they sat slightly better then they did before I set up my geometry the other week. Currently running -2 degrees front and -1.5 degrees rear. The Rota's are great wheels, nice and light but strong. I have had two sets and never had a problem with them at all.
scooby222 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 cracking car mate, loving the stealth factor with all those ponies under the bonnet - and the torque must be something else!! is that an APS intercooler youve got? looking forward to seeing it in the flesh sometime
14N-FR Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 cracking car mate, loving the stealth factor with all those ponies under the bonnet - and the torque must be something else!! is that an APS intercooler youve got? looking forward to seeing it in the flesh sometime I was wanting to keep it as stealth as possible. At first I attempted the build with the STi TMIC but I couldn't get the results with it. Max out at 400bhp 410lbft. After fitting the FMIC and a set of GT headers and up pipe I got the result shown above. I choose the Rota Gravels as they are a copy of the Spec C wheels. Its a Japspeed FMIC that I got for £179. The core on them are really good despite what some people say.
14N-FR Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 And the torque makes it a very nice car to drive everyday!!!!!
scooby222 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 wow! interesting that you got that much difference with the front mount, might have to consider one after all... did it make much difference to the spool up? and what size injectors are you running? i'm at 390 ish on a 2.0l just now and said that was enough, but....
14N-FR Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 The difference was the FMIC and headers & up pipe. I also changed to an inner wing filter too as I was previously running a RCM engine bay kit. Running 800cc lateral injectors.

Am I right in saying they're STI yellows (ie 440cc) which have been modded? Just wondering as have the same in the Blitzen... Hmmmmm......

14N-FR Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 Thanks guys. It's been a work in progress over the passed year. Thankfully with me Woking offshore I haven't had to put up with much time off the road as work was competed while I was away. Thats thanks to Paul @ Shennan Motorsports. He has been great and has complete jobs while I have been away. Can't thank him enough. The car was mapped by Andy F and he also was great in diagnosing a wastegate problem with my turbo which was resolved a couple of weeks back.
