scooby197 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Hi all just wondered if anybody no how much it will be to get all the brake pads done on my impreza wr1 from a subaru garage cheers folks
badbaz Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Why go to a Subaru garage mate, you'll get much cheaper and just as good from an independant and then you can choose your pads too
scooby222 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 all 4 from a dealer will be around 400 i think -last time i checked subaru front pads were 220 ish plus fitting - i went to an independent and paid about 100 for mintex 1144's which were a definite improvement
MicktypeWR1 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Hi.. only just signed up to the forum. I also run a WR1 as does Matty (on here) and was pricing Pads today. If you are looking for Brembo front pads to suit std Brembo gold callipers, then the part reference for the set to do both front wheels is Brembo ref P54039..... Just Google it and you'll be amazed to find that a company in Kidderminster do mail order (currently awaiting delivery of new stock trading as Next Day Brakes, I know nothing of them but you'll buy them for just under £60 a set and a garage should fit them for about £40. Now THAT'S a bargain ! Theres been a lot of talk about the newer EBC Blue Stuff pads which are supposed to be great allrounders in wet & dry, low noise too. Approx £150 a set for fronts & £80 for rears.
johnmacdonald Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Yes, I have used an indepedent specialist for years (using EBC pads)and he is cheaper than main dealers by far.
arch Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Standard pads are rubbish lots of options out there other than standard.
