  2. Matty, you were going to let us know how the Ferodo DS2500 pads performed ..... Any news yet ?
  3. Thanks for searching out a good deal once again Gary. I'm happy. You saved me money !!!
  4. Very pleased to report that putting my trust in Keith Michael's main man, Gary Moulson, has paid off. He's checked around for me and reverted mine to who he insured me with 2 yrs ago AND saved me money with it coming in under £500 all in with mods declared etc. Mind you, I'm classed as a member of The Old Brigade ! Cheers Gary !
  5. Very similar story from me too. Gary has checked around again this year as he did last year and the one before that!!!! and I'm pleased to say that he's actually saved me money this year keeping it under the £500 mark. If you're struggling to reach the guy on his hotline 02082-880275 Then dial the main number 0845 337 3380 and leave a message for him to ring you. We all know how busy he is so WAIT-- he'll get back to you and give you his personal service.
  6. Ah......... Matty the Muffin Man ! Yeh, maybe do a show or two. Went last year to Japfest but as a guest on one of the main sponsers stands in my mates Yellow Supercharged Civic.
  7. Cheers ScoUK.......and as for Baby Blue..... Well, yeh. Maybe it is the colour or just the WR1 look that helps us to lip read. It's become easy to read the words.... "^&%$**'n Hell, LOOK at that mate " as you burble past a crowd !. Do you guys get that too in your Royal Blues. I expect you do.????? Seriously. Tis good and makes me smile, especially if I reply with a pop & a bang !
  8. NEXT DAY BRAKES which is an online trading name for UNIVERSAL AUTOMOTIVE. They supply the Motor Factors nationally. If you simply google the Brembo part number for our Brembo calipers which is P54039, it takes you to their site !!! If you ask the net for Competition Clutch, or Mishimoto readiators, it ALSO takes you there ! I've paid a measly £42.72 for pads for both fronts. I'll probably use Central Subaru in Willenhall to fit them as he'll do it for £30 cash. He's a well respected specualist. Did my cambelt, did my clutch too. Exeedy OE 6 speed supply & fitted £480 ! Keep in touch ! Mickster.
  9. Ah ha!....... and I've just bought genuine BREMBO pads for the front from one of the largest UK distributors in UK and CHEAPEST. I found them on the net and discovered that they were within walking distance of my house !!! Not quite ready for fitting but keep in touch Matty !
  10. YEH ! !!! I'm behind you all the way.... (which makes me YOUNGER.. but not by much ! ) .......... H a P P y ____ B i R T h d a Y .....
  11. I've just bought genuine Brembo front pads for my WR1 from one of the biggest distributors in UK. There's been what Brembo call "A realignment of pricing" and they are now VERY competitive. Check your Brembo part and look at the price. I paid just £43 and collected them in person so I could see the operation. http://www.nextdaybrakes.com/?gclid=CPyIorGNqK4CFVAhtAod3R10Qw They are part of Universal Automotive. Aso selling Competition Clutch & Mishimoto rads. Ring them and ask for Emma !
  12. Interesting Matt although I'm thinking more along the lines that THIS one has had a respray. I guess you'd have told me if you could have confirmed that Subaru made this non turbo WRX in our colour for 1 year !!!

  19. I KNOW THAT much Matty ! I meant that I couldn't see HOW on this page I could attach piccies. I felt like a helipcopter hovering over the above boxes I see that if you click the "insert Image box" it requires the actual http:// reference...
  20. I would do Matty but I couldn't see how to add them here so I'll go to Gallery. Not used to the layout on this forum !
  21. Hi SIDC. Thought it was about time I signed up here, so, with a prompt from Matty WR1, here I am, with my WR1 which Ive owned for about 4 years now. I'm a member on several forums having been around the circuit for a few years. I started in the PUG years then Civic Type R forum days and then we started WJPC forum which developed into JPOC. I'm keen on my photos as some of you will know from me clicking away at shows and events. Hope to get to some meets in the Spring but will make an effort to get to Tony's WORCS/HEREFORD meet at The Blue Bell, Callow. Worcester Sun 12th.
  22. Hi.. only just signed up to the forum. I also run a WR1 as does Matty (on here) and was pricing Pads today. If you are looking for Brembo front pads to suit std Brembo gold callipers, then the part reference for the set to do both front wheels is Brembo ref P54039..... Just Google it and you'll be amazed to find that a company in Kidderminster do mail order (currently awaiting delivery of new stock trading as Next Day Brakes, I know nothing of them but you'll buy them for just under £60 a set and a garage should fit them for about £40. Now THAT'S a bargain ! Theres been a lot of talk about the newer EBC Blue Stuff pads which are supposed to be great allrounders in wet & dry, low noise too. Approx £150 a set for fronts & £80 for rears.
