LanceLink
Hi all, First post, so apologies if its in the wrong place. One of my 2005 Impreza WRX keys stopped working last month. The other key still works and I've tried recoding the keys, but it's definitely the PCB on one key fob. I've since put the broken key fob through the dishwasher (last gasp effort, and I know, it's mental), so let's assume that one's never coming back to life. I've seen on several forums that the part number for the PCB that goes inside the key (single button key fob) is SACC 3507, and it costs iro £40. However, my garage is telling me that it is not possible to buy only the PCB, and I have to buy a replacement key for £160 + VAT. I can't find the SACC3507 part for sale anywhere on the web. Can someone please confirm whether this is the right part number for a 2005 WRX, and if so, where I can get one without paying five times the price for a key I don't need? Thanks LL Link to comment
The Don
Part number you quote is AFAIK for the single button key. One of the Lads on Subaru forester forum was quoted £25 +VAT for one by a dealer who then managed to inflate that to £120!! but he was a bit naive about it, despite advice given prior to his visit http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/1112935-post37.html Link to comment
