Thanks to the guys at RA Motorsport today especially the big chap, if he hadnt noticed my wheel being broken in three places who knows what could have happened.

I was told that it was only certain types of Wheels that were affected, but a warning to everyone to check Wheels'n'Tyres B4 driving...

What's other peoples views???

Guess you can add them to the list!

Paint or powder coating............answer has to be paint! At least with paint your life is not put in danger!

If this is a common problem with alloy wheels surely this practice should be banned or is it bad workmanship?

One of the other sets I saw were actually standard STI wheels from a V7. The other set were Duncan Grahams.

I don't know if it is bad workmanship as different materials are going to react differently to different tempeartures amongst other things to blame the powder coater would be a bit harsh

I have seen this many times. its due to the length of time in the oven according to the coater i use for work. he said many sameday turnaround jobs turn out like this

TBH I heard a squealing sort of noise when going round roundabouts, thought it was the front driveshaft, didnt look at the wheel!
