Flathead Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Lloyd aka Dibble dropped his engine in today and all seems okay. Now the hard part insuring it as he is only 22 !
Dibble Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Its good to see that my old chap got my age wrong! haha. It been somthing new for me to play with really havnt worked much on subaru's. Must off been one of the easiest engine changes i have done in a while now. Shimming the heads took a while after there rebuilds. Running sweet as a nut now so yer its just all about the insurance now.

stum450n Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Some of the guys at the garage have scramblers not Lloyd tho think he has a mini-moto in bits ! Got two in bits at the moment, my son's which I've just fitted a bigger bore kit to and won't bloody start again and one for me which is waiting on a turbo kit arriving - should be a giggle come midsummer
Bailey73 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Bank of Mum and Dad to the rescue it was £2500 or £1500 in one payment ! Would it have been £2500 if paid for in instalments then?
Flathead Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 Yeh they try to stop these youngsters getting insurance can't see how they can charge a extra £1000 pounds though. Just been out in it with him seems a nice motor only cost him about £1300 all in !
Bailey73 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Insurance companies are a bloody rip off.. Not surprising so many people drive around without insurance.
