I've had to put two new/second hand gearboxes in my scooby since i've had it. The layshaft bearings got loud on the first box then ripped all the teeth off on the second gear on my second box. Isit crunching into gear or while in gear? If its just a bearing or synchro rings worn then it could be worth getting it reconned. But will be more costly than a second hand box. If you have damaged the gears the box may as well just be scraped! Did this "crunch" get worse over time or what did you do for it too happen?

Oil changed, car washed and tank filled hope the weather holds out for a good day!

I do have two spare single coil packs. But two wouldnt just die at the same time? if so whats number cylders was they on? Or you after the coil pack on top the inlet manifold?

Replaced a coolent pipe on my scooby today didnt want to trust on this long drive out. Hoping to get the time to stick it on a lift at work this week cast a eye over it all and change the oil also as she getting close to a change now!

after a new set off wheels, i have 18"s at the min. when i have a few people in the back they keep rubbing. Was just ajusting the tracking on her today to find The n/s/f inside of the tyre had about 5 big sized bulges.. after some 15/16 ish.. pm me with what you got and a price need sort of asap? also what would be the standard rim size on a 97 2000 turbo? cheers.

I took the new/old engine apart got the crank out only to find that no one can regrind them. Got my self a new used engine from a import auto wagon lastnight. only done 83k in kph i did hear it running sunday. have been told to change the cams over from my impreza? hopfully i will have it back on the road for saturday.

What the insurance dont know dont hurt.. unless it too wisible. Anyone had there crank reground and who did you use? Took my scooby engine to bits at work today wasnt busy this afternoon. going to rebuilding it myself will be one of the cheapest and the best will save me form putting a duff engine in again.

After taking its easy for 108miles the new bottom end has started knocking. Took the engine back out at work today. Anyone know of a good working full or short engine for sale if so just pm me.

Just got back home. done about 50 mile in her tonight. havnt push it to hard yet want to give it time to setale abit. Also the check engine come on and off a few time so will have to take a look into that. apart from that its spot on. yes i am with admiral. stum450n could you be interested in a dirty bike minimoto fully working? plus i have a race bike one in bits? if so just pm me or somthing.

Its good to see that my old chap got my age wrong! haha. It been somthing new for me to play with really havnt worked much on subaru's. Must off been one of the easiest engine changes i have done in a while now. Shimming the heads took a while after there rebuilds. Running sweet as a nut now so yer its just all about the insurance now.
