What has happened to SSDC

I have been a member or follower for over 5 years now. This site when I joined was jam packed with scoobie followers and the meets in scotland were always packed. I had many a good ice cream with Paul. Who was central organiser and sweet tooth of the mob!

Anyway, even though I have not have the scoob for three years I always kept in touch and online, but the brotherhood and sisterhood had died. I need to ask the question...................................why? I liked this place so much and the meets I have never not visited on a daily basis, but the will is fading!

Alive and well apparently, if a little low on road salt ;)

In all seriousness - aye, it has become quieter and quieter around here of late. Seems this can have a spiralling effect on a forum - the quieter it becomes, the less interesting it is, the less inclined people are to participate...

Perhaps we lost a few to ScottishScoobies.net aswell? A bit like the PDC/BDO split in darts back in the early '90s :(

The majority of people still here I reckon make a decent contribution

ive got to say during the winter months the forum is quiet what site isnt. During the summer you have meets every thursday being held in glasgow , lanarkshire, central and lothians which all include a run my missus new thursday nights were a right of for her as she knew id be out with the car meeting some cracking people and enjoying the benefits of driving scotlands countryside. Also if you want to there are club meets every other weekend wether it be festivals, events shows etc which last year i got to most and it was something i looked forward to and had a ball at . i personaly will get my finger out shortly and be organising a trip to the nurburg ring next summer for all members that wish to go , you get out what you put in, i am a member of a few clubs bit sidc is where i start when im online as there is always something to be doing, and with the new team on board i can only see things goind upwards and onwards . The club is full of old faces and new faces but why not it brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with new faces full of enthusiasim which can only be good

Very true. My Scoob hasn't turned a wheel for nearly two weeks and isn't likely to until the snow has gone, which might be about April 2011 by the looks of it...

So Scooby ownership really isn't something I'm thinking much about at the moment... other than how much I'm missing driving it!

:crying:

Wuss? WUSS?!

You're the wuss for needing all-wheel drive in the snow! Gayfight.gif

My only concession to being a total "hard basturd winter driver" is that my car is front wheel drive and not rear wheel drive! :D:blush:

Och no, AWD or not, the Scoob's far too nice to be dragging through some of the 'orrible stuff I've had to drag the other car through recently - or to risk being pranged by some other chump ;)
