xmas party 2011

following on from the success of the xmas party (after a shaky start!) ive started thinking about making arrangements for another one next year

first thing to say is that its a party - although i titled this years as a ball it wasnt formal as i know that put some people off, our very own euan r wore jeans and a short sleeved shirt without sticking out!

ive approached the same hotel as this year as everyone seemed to be happy with the facilities, if anyone would like to make any suggestions for a different venue or any changes/improvements feel free to drop me a goat or post on this thread

finally ive put up a poll for the timing, either same time as this year, later on closer to christmas, or earlier ie late october as sort of halloween/xmas party combined

Seeing that most people haven't had their 2010 crimbo party yet.............. yes same place would be good but in December.

Watching a Meat Loaf singing Santa mid November just aint the same as it could be in Dec :-)

Good to see forward planning Dave, have you started a list for the 2013 highland run? I can't find the thread . . . .

Seriously, good to plan ahead and seek opinions. As I said when we last spoke, the run up to Xmas is such a busy time for many. Would a Halloween Party, near(ish) to Halloween, not be a great laugh? See what others think

Venue's good and central with good facilities... very convenient for us too *chuckle*

Timing? Xmas ball in November? Closer to the big day would be better methinks... although if we're up for a run again, earlier might be better weather wise (or AS early anyway... depends if anyone else is coming next time! *chortle*)

thats why im looking at getting the ball rolling now, theyve already got 2 of the saturdays in nov booked for 2011!

might be a bit of a price increase as well closer to crimbo plus clashes with other parties - hence the poll, what the public wants theyl get
