poonbowl Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 being a bowler, a normal set is 3 games and places normally do a deal for 3 games but i dont mind at all! I wouldnt leave it to late otherwise you get all the idiots out and about
MDScooby Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 Has there been anymore movement on this if not can i suggest that we book bowling for about 5:30pm - 6:30pm playing 3 games (as suggested by poonbowl)and find something to munch on there or after bowling. Just to Clarify are we bowling at Alconbury or the place in Cambridge (as sugggested by Doughboy)
Mark CSC Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I'd rather do it midday ish as then the wife and little one can come.
doughboy Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Unfortunately we couldnt get Alconbury so it will be at Cambridge. So were going for..... 3 games, approx 10 people, ideally between lunch time and late afternoon and then going off to grab dinner afterwards at the lucky star all you can eat buffet! I'll speak to them tonight/tomorrow and get it booked up with the best time they have available. Doughboy
doughboy Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Hi Guys all Booked! Bowling will start ar 2pm for 3 games. C u all there with your Christmas hats on! :biggrinsanta: Doughboy
MDScooby Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 Well done dude Do you have the address of the bowling alley as i haven't a clue where it is unless you want to meet up in that hotel car park and go from there? Mark
dibs Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Nice one Matt! Bowling alley is at Cambridge Leisure Park on Clifton Rd Here There is parking there but it's pricey (even with validation). Be careful if you decide to chance it on the industrial estate though as they clamp in most of the private car parks. Just got to find a hat now :kerstsmiley: Dibs
MDScooby Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 How much is the parking during the day then as the website says its only 50p after 6:30pm. I forgot about the hat thing, does it need to be christmas related i can't remember the conversation we had about it at the pub.
Mark CSC Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 (edited) Hmmm will have to find hat. How much is the bowling? Parking charges are: £1.00 / 1 hour £1.00 / 2 hours £2.00 / 3 hours £3.00 / 4 hours £7.00 / 5 hours £15.00 / day £0.50 / overnight (after 6:30pm) http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/carpark/cambridge_leisure_area/cb1/cambridge/ Edited December 1, 2010 by Mark CSC
