Hello, just joined this board.

I stay in Aberdeen. Had wanted an Impreza for about 9 years ever since driving my old bosses one - took me a long while to save up in amongst pissing my money up against the wall but finally filled the piggy bank and got myself a dark grey 2008 Impreza Sti. Loving it so far!!!

Now - part of the reason I joined is to get some advice on a couple of upgrades.

I want to fit the in-built satnav like the one that comes as standard in the 330s. A mate works at a subaru dealership in the US and he says they use Kenwood satnav over there. Is it the same ones here?

I like the look of the Kenwood DNX-5260BT and have seen a deal for it at Car Hi-Fi Services Ltd near Falkirk. Has anyone used this place for fitting ICE? Will the volume on it work with the steering wheel controls and stuff?

Lastly - has anyone done one of Performance Driving courses at Knockhill? Worth doing?

welcome along mate - nice to see another newbie,even with a hatch B) lol

performance driving course,if its the one thats done partly on the road its well worth it!

prodrive gear is very well developed and preserves the warranty - but there are other options which give better value for money. either way you'l notice a big difference to the car and its a very slippery downward slope once you start - but its only money :lol:
