It was D2's I had on the Forester. Built quality was excellent but I have to say they were extremely harsh on our not so fine scottish roads even on a decent setting :D

Might be better on the Impreza tho :)

At the risk of being flamed... if price is the major factor, then the D2's are maybe a good purchase, albeit not as popular as BC Racing stuff is at present. But after speaking to vendors who compete, it funny how Tein creep back into the equation, and hold their own.

I'd suggest looking at Tein, even just a Basic kit. If money is no object, then get a Monoflex kit. Most coilies will give you a compliant ride, none too soft - a lot will depend on the ride height adjustment, and your tyres. I live in teutcher-ville and the roads are made up of mud, dead animals and road stone first laid after the war - my Teins perform admirably.

thx for the input guys. Heard a lot of good comments and bad about the teins same with the BC so thats why i was looking for other makes.

Looking at the pics of the D2 they do look well made, as Gus says, plus they come with the mounts that cost extra with the Teins.

Im not buying just now anyway, looking ahead to nurburgring next year, just browsing and getting as much info as possible.

if their civic kits are anything to go by their not as well built as you would think on ek civics and dc2's the rears struggle to last any more than 2 years without leaking while the top mounts that came with my set disintegrated in 6 months

i'd tend to recommend a basic set of KW's (variant 1's) over them as their build quality and lengthy warranty period if there is any problems was very impressive

as for harshness i found the d2's overly harsh and even by fiddling about with the damping rates i couldn't get a setup that allowed for confidence over broken surfaces while soft on their damping setting is far too underdamped (felt like the wheels where acting like pendulums controlling the movement of the car)

though this is all experience from my B18'd EK4 civic vti as opposed to an impreza i would say it perhaps sheds some light on their build quality
