Also Big D... Called Forge up today, very helpful bloke, but he said it seemed very odd even with the 'smaller' piston it should still work ok and that's the design for it to connect to the pipe rather than a hose type like yours.

Anyway they're going to send me the next stronger and weaker springs to what is in there already to try. His guess was to use a slightly softer 'idle spring'?, the smaller one and see how that goes. But then just to have a play witht he other springs to see if we can get it working ok.

They're getting the springs delivered on Wednesday so he'll send them straight out to me... So friday evening could be busy :) Lol

The port needs to be bigger mate changing the springs will not work, we will prove this on Friday by running my DV on your car :)

Well that's what i tried to explain but the guy was adament on it being the spring set up :)

Well I have pretty much already proven what I have said, but we can try it if you want, I have the weaker springs already if you wanted to try it fella.

100% convinced the port is too small to allow the pressure out of your system fast enough.

Thats great news fella, glad to help, I am certain that the starting issue was not the TPS but was something to do with the ALS.

Oh and he was saying that yours was a 'version 3' type and mine was a version 5 or 6 or something!

My car is a Version 3 (if that is what he meant), mate the issue you are having is that the DV fitted to your car is not allowing sufficient air out of the charge system quick enough so it is taking the path of least resistance which in your case is back out through the compressor of the turbo, which is what that god awful judder is caused by, if you have any doubts mate you are wecome to try my DV on your car and you will see how much smoother it is.

The Forge DV's are very good its just the one you have fitted is no good for your setup.

From what I have seen of the Turbosmart type of DV they are quite slow to respond and you could well end up with the same issue mate, I am more than happy for you to try mine out mate just to prove that it works then you will know 100% what it is you are looking for if you choose to buy another.

I can vouch for the Turbosmart having a slow response, we saw it on my car. It sounded like farting when you are scared to follow through!

No excuse Sir, I cannot tell a lie. My wife has sprung a girls night in next month so I may well ask her permission to attend. Not promising anything, as my son says, she is fierce! (just kidding dear)

She knows the reputation of the de-catted Impreza without remap, she'll deffo fall for that!

All jokes aside, she's a good girl, just has NO interest in cars, be it Subaru or her dusty Pug 206!
