scooby222 Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 thatd be the thumpy hole you heard then! jeez we'l need iron wheels soon.... and thats definitely the last time i try doing a run in a diesel, phaw!
lewisscoob Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 FFS, I would go mad! Are you paying £405 to tax a what appears to be a classic??
scoob fae ork Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 FFS, I would go mad! Are you paying £405 to tax a what appears to be a classic?? Thats what i was thinking
euan_r Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 yip, its registered after march 2007. im glad it never blew out on the way home tbh. ive had this happen once before on different car but its not driven the same. over the last fortnight had to replace front hub of legacy, rear hub+long bolt on forester and just had to order wheel bearing for car trailer too.
thefastone Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Em... Is that right though, I thought that it was down to manufacture date, rather than import date...?
westtra Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 you overpaid. I'm trying to find apost on pistonheads as someone with a scoob (import) was in the same position as you and fought it. So you should be able to get refund.
scooby222 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 och thatl bring a tear to his eye, nothing like the word refund to light up an aberdonian fermer
euan_r Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 hmm... its all very strange. cars first registered in the uk sept 07. so the rules say its £405 as emissions on v5 are 326g/km*. i did check this to avoid being over taxed. this is what renewal came threw as and i paid at beginning of this month. just been on dvla site and entered reg and v5 ref number and it now says £245 for 12 months due 4/2011, i did check end of last year and it was definatly £405 due 4/2010. i will check we them up the morns night as their shut now. *it was sva`d but i have no idea how it went through as there is no model report for v6 type r and car was less than 10 years old then.
