Bailey73 Posted March 28, 2010 Author Posted March 28, 2010 Could you not hold out another 2K and get an R32 GTR with the RB26 lump Cheers Iain We could do but the plus side of this one is that we know the owner and know its been well looked after... ..and TBH I prefer the look of the R33.
rae_sti Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 you checked what insurance is like ,ive heard its pretty steep on liners . but have to say it does look good and i would have it tomorrow if it was me
jd Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 hmmm rear wheel drive...... better buy stocks in tyres.
Big 'D' Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 We could do but the plus side of this one is that we know the owner and know its been well looked after.....and TBH I prefer the look of the R33. That is a huge plus when choosing a car , I love the look of the older R32 but it would be the engine that drew me in, performance over looks all the way Cheers Iain
Bailey73 Posted March 28, 2010 Author Posted March 28, 2010 We have made the decision not to buy it and to go for a sensible family car so that I can keep the mileage down on the scoob which is at the moment our family car... ..it was a hard decision but we think the most sensible.
Bailey73 Posted March 28, 2010 Author Posted March 28, 2010 Not a bad idea mate..... there is a spot on a1 toyota avensis up the road from me... 54 plate for 4K lovely motor... i wanted it for my brother in law... but he found a scabby mondeo instead!!! odd.. We are looking at 307 estates at the moment.. .. I have never been keen on the Avensis but that could be because I hate doing windscreens on them lol
Scoobtastic Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 expect that to drink more fuel than a scoob, also as it's a GTTST,it's active rear wheel steer can make cornering very interesting
Bailey73 Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 We also looked at these for my bro in law... SW or something I think.... not a bad motor, but not that easy to find a decent one for the right money...Good luck shopping We have found a 2006 model with 48000 on the clock for £4700.. hopefully have a look at it at the weekend
kevlorn Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 love it,but for a family/practical car no..i looked at the 307 but found them small tbh..ive looked at loads recently and found the vectra the biggest, and best value for £££..i got the vectra hatch cdti sri 150 bhp,for a deisel it goes very well..
Bailey73 Posted March 31, 2010 Author Posted March 31, 2010 Looks like Sam has settled for a Black Alfa 147.. 03 plate with only 35000 on the clock... ..downside is, we now need to pay for it lol
