frankyboy Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 would 2 tanks of fuel get me to london in ma classic wagon. never took it out of glasgow before
RS Grant Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Yes, I'd think so. Will take a couple of tanks there and a couple of tanks back. Cheers, Grant
Wee Jock Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Doubt it! I used to do that run every other weekend in my classic for the past three years, if you drive at 70 all the way it might take you 2 but Im guessing its more like 3! Even in my Hawkeye I would struggle for two stops. Regards WJ

Wee Jock Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 What do you get to a tank? Was only getting 210miles max to about 150min! I know it was a thirsty so & so! WJ
RS Grant Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I drove from Bedford (c60 miles north of London I think) to Dundee (c60 miles further than Glasgow) at the weekend there... and I did it no bother on 2 tanks, even had about 1/4 tank left. That was sitting at average 80ish, with a lot of average 50mph stuff cause of roadworks, but with a couple of higher speed sections on the M6 Toll, racing an Audi RS6 and random little banter blasts. Cheers, Grant
colin_ross Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Mine did the McRae run all the way down on one tank and had about a quarter left when we got to prodive.
st3ph3n Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I got from Larkhall to Lanark to Banbury and had about 10-15 litres left. 325 miles or so.
Hightower Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 i get to the shell borstone in stirling and if i am lucky might make it to the shell at springkerse in stirling before a top up required. mind you i take the scenic route out by callender etc. before coming back
