tommo9375 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Looking at getting some new alloys soon so wondered if anyone could photoshop some Black with red lip Alloys onto a pic of my hatch to see what they look like. Was thinking about Inovit Tarmac,ST VI or torques (or anything multi spoke)Cheers. Here's the best side on pic i've got at the moment

stum450n Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Right, well I know I promised more shots but I'm struggling to find any decent side-on shots of the other wheels. If you have any, let me know and I'll comp them up.
tommo9375 Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 Just got home today from offshore-internet there was really, really slow so will look for some pics tomorrow.
tommo9375 Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 Heres some pics of ones i like -if you can do anything with them, cheers
stum450n Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Sorry mate, would need bigger ones than that - against that background they would be an absolute nightmare to cut out! Have you tried here? http://www.rarerims.co.uk/virtual/ ...may help narrow the decision down a little. Once you've a set of rims in mind, give me a shout

wrxmania Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) Do they come in an 18 x 8.5 fitting? I know some of the Innovit I looked at only do 7.5... Brian. Edited January 26, 2010 by WRXMANIA

tommo9375 Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) I'm not sure about sizes but Julian from Turriff tyres told me that 18 x 7.5 are fine on my hatch and they clear the calipers.,did ask him if i needed 18x8 and he said i didn't have too. Will be speaking to him again tomorrow. Phil MC Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I had 18" Inovit Tarmacs on my Bug STi and needed spacers to clear the Brembos
tommo9375 Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 I had 18" Inovit Tarmacs on my Bug STi and needed spacers to clear the Brembos I was told they would clear my brembo's and the guys deals with alloys everyday. It all depends on the spoke design.
Spaceman Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 theres diff phases of tarmacs think they are on phase 3 now and they clear brembos phase one don`t not sure bout tarmac 2`s

What tyre you going for, width wise? I'd go for at least 18 x 8, maybe even 8.5 as long as it didnt stick out or look odd Rich
bmwhere? Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 My car came with the 18" BBS alloys fitted with 245 width tyres! I have 235 winter tyres on 17" too and would definitely say the car feels much better on 245 width!
