ok one of my friends has a wrx and he asked if i thought it sounded ok,i thought it sounded ok but just loud anyone make anything of it ???

starts and drives fine and pulls like a train.

i thought he was being paranoid but said i would ask the kind folks on here

sounds a bit rattly mate..... then again thats me comparing it to my engine......

Ah! Thats the new boxer diesel engine

My old classic used be be a bit rattley, changed the oil to MOTUL Comp 300V, certainley made a difference.

lol cheers guys,just had a reputable jap garage have a listen to the car and its defo not bottom end or bad knock,it is infact piston slap :)and not to worry as the yr of car is comon for it,also having forged pistons makes it all the more noticable.
