st3ph3n Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 http://www.monsterworldrallyteam.com/ Well done to Ford for taking a chance and trying to give WRC to the Americans again. Subaru - for shame.
lewisscoob Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Great news, just exactly what the sport needs! Sebastian will struggle to take the title this year, with the return of Marcus Gronholm, the addition of Ken Block and Kimi Raikonnen as well as Mikko Hirvonen on his case. It will be very interesting to see who wins this year. I wouldnt be willing to put money on any one driver at the moment.
thefastone Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Its what the sport needs, but wont do anything for the sport really untill the manufacturers come back, as really, just now, its Ciroen/Ford winning by default... thats not sport.
scooby222 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 good news but like dale said without the manufacturers coming back in force it is a little bit of a joke still we can all rush out and buy a nice 4wd turbocharged ford focus now eh......
thefastone Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 good news but like dale said without the manufacturers coming back in force it is a little bit of a jokestill we can all rush out and buy a nice 4wd turbocharged ford focus now eh...... Another VERY good point...
st3ph3n Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 Focus in the WRC and the new Fiesta in the American Championship. Be interesting to see what events he does - full campaign or not etc. I hope a bit of American interest might drive the other manufacturers back.
scooby222 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 exactly Neil, same goes for the 4wd turbo rally reps citroen, peugeot, skoda etc havent produced recently - its a pet hate of mine - imprezas, cossies, evos, integrales -all the greats were available from the showroom with the same basic drivetrain as the rally cars
StrikE Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 its Citroen/Ford winning by default... thats not sport. tried to watch the last season but failed on that part, just not the same when you are half expecting a scooby to appear on the tv & get all excited at the burble good luck to them
st3ph3n Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 http://jalopnik.com/5456977/ken-blocks-new...onstrously-cool Now that's a good looking car. That's the American spec Fiesta. I'm sure the Focus will get an equally cool paint scheme. If the guys going to M Sport see it - do post pics!
